In the first part of the workshop each student had to have a mobile phone, headphones and the application QR code downloaded on their phones. They had to scan each creation that was exposed in the room, in French or Spanish. The French students helped with the translation when their pen-friends had difficulties of understanding the language. The purpose of the activity was to fill in a table on a sheet of paper that had been handed to them before the activity started. The columns from the table are: Number of the creation/ Observations/ Marks/ Ranking. They had to give marks to the creations they saw and explored with the QR Codes and rank them according to their preference. The creation that receives the biggest number of votes will be marked as the best one and the students who did it will be rewarded.
In the second part of the activity the students had to create a poster of a recycled object from recycled materials and to present it orally in English. The first step was to imagine the object, then they had to specify the materials they were going to use and why they thought of using them. The 3rd step was to create a user manual. After that they had to emphasize the relationship between their object and the environment. The last step was to find an original title.
