The students were divided into groups of 5; each group received a work sheet with a suggestive fragment from the popular Kalevala Finnish song and 2 images related to the fragment. The students had to write make a poster, draw the story in 4 or 5 pictures, write a a nice title in English. In making the poster, they had to use Kalevala decorations that they could see in a presentation on the smartboard. After an hour of work, the students presented their product, all being excited about the results.
A mini-exhibition of the posters made by the students so that they could be seen by all students in the school. Each student had the chance to express their artistic talent and creativity, to practisetheir way of expressing themselves freely in English and work together for a purpose. It is very important that the students were able to deepen the knowledge they had gained following their Juminkeko visit.
