Creation Palais des beaux arts
Students went to the « Palais des Beaux-arts » in Lille. The class was divided into 2 groups.
First, a guide offered a course in the museum to each group, about the representation of the body from ancient times to the 20th century, for about an hour. Each of them taught the students :
-to analyse sculptures and paintings
-to understand the evolution of beauty criteria, from ancient male ideal to representation of cute men for example
-to think about the feelings the artist wanted to express
-to identify different sources of inspiration
Then, each student was taken to modelling workshops where they could use the notions the guide used in the course and try to represent the action of a character. This activity also lasted about an hour.
-a small clay statue that each student modelled.
-an experience that can be related in « Folios », « Parcoursd’éducation artistiqueet culturel» (loid’orientation2013)
