After a presentation of the airbase of the spa town of Sliac (creation, role during the 2WW, especially in resistance movement, different functions: protecting airspace, helping planes when they have communication or navigation problems for example), students were divided into two groups: one was with a simulator instructor and the other one with a plane driver. Each activity lasted around 45 minutes. During these two activities, students were able to participate in different flight simulation tests. Historically LetiskoTri Dubyis an international airport in central Slovakia. The airport has one runway, which is 2,400 m long and is shared by military and civilian use.
Then they took a military bus and were driven to a field where they saw military planes and the instructor monitor explained how they worked.
Pupils were impressed by the high technology used to navigate in plane. They improved their knowledge about planes, air force and airbase. To take place in a plane and try flight simulation test was the best of the visit!
