SMSP19 Environment Social Garden
The children were split into 2 groups and given a tour of the allotments. They were told about the concept of the project. This was that vulnerable adults could apply to rent plots of land to grow their own produce. This empowered the adults to have some responsibilty and they were also given support in other areas in their life that they might be struggling with. The area also had reclying and compost areas. This was also a way of the council recovering the land. The vegetables grown were lettuce, tomatoes, onions.
The children enjoyed planting some plants and were given flower as as a little present.
