SMGB19 Health Fitness
Students followed a circuit training with 8 different activities lasting 2 minutes each
After being shown how to use the different pieces of equipment and discussing which parts of the body were being targeted, students began with sit ups, and press ups, running and cross trainer, and they finished with wall sit, bikes and rowing machines. Students were very active and discussed the differences between their PE lessons and this style of activity
Students were very active throughout the sessions and interested to know how the machines worked, especially as they don’t have the same equipment in their own schools.
At the end, they were given free time to choose different pieces of equipment and create their own fitness programme and it was fantastic to see that they wanted to continue using equipment independently.
