Students go to the « Palais de l’Univers et des Sciences » and attend a conference on «The energy of the future, yesterday, today and tomorrow », at the end of which they can react and ask questions.
The conference is based on several issues:
What are the different forms of energy?
How has Man transformed energy in order to make it usable?
What machines have been created, using which types of energy, from Prehistory to future interstellar journeys?
For what purposes (buildings, tools, transport…) have machines been created throughout History?
Students are also asked to think about the energy shortage and how it could be managed
Students are divided into groups of 3 or 4 and make a digital mental map summarizing the different types of energy over time, selecting an example of machines used for each of them and associating a picture that they consider as representative.
