Old recipes –new dishes

       Considered the business card of any people, gastronomy plays a very important role, because it shows the degree of development, not just the culinary preferences.Transformed according to taste and preference, the dishes cooked in Romanian style are part of our culture and traditions.In order to carry out this activity, the following steps have been taken: launching the idea, selecting traditional recipes, reinterpreting each recipe in a modern style. Groups of 2-3 students were formed. Each group chose an old recipe to take from the grandmother's recipe book. Students identified the ingredients needed for each recipe. On the established date, at the practice base of the school students made new preparations based on the old recipes. The students showed their creativity and made special preparations. The "Negresa" cake was transformed into the college's initials, the apple cake was transformed into coconut apple pie.

      The result of this activity materialized in the organization of a culinary exhibition where guests could taste the preparations made by the students. Another result is the creation of a magazine that includes old and new recipes, reinterpreted by students. The magazine includes sequences from the preparation activity and is translated into English and French.
