Humanity A day in the past, when we discovered Versailles and Paris
In the morning and the early afternoon, French students and their partners visited the Palace and the gardens of Versailles with a guide. They learnt the history of the Palace of Versailles. It started in the 17th century when Versailles was first a hunting lodge, then it became a seat of power, and finally, from the 19th century onwards, it was a museum. They visited all the rooms of the Palace, like the Hall of Mirrors and they learnt about how the King’s court worked. They also had a picnic on the Gardens grass. Then, they discovered Paris and the main monuments during a city tour on a bus.
All the students learnt more about French History. They traveled in time for a day.
